I haven't updated this blog in a while. I'm a lazy asshole.
School has been pretty pointless. I like my teachers a bit more now. I'm pretty cool with all of them, even my English teacher. But the stuff that we do is just...boring as shit.
I go through most days mentally asleep. I'll forget almost everything I did in class, yet I'll be able to do the homework. I guess I'm literally just there to learn, and nothing else. It's so lifeless lately...
We're filming a new video soon. No specifications yet.
Left 4 Dead 2 is the best zombie survival game out there. I got bored with Left 4 Dead very quickly. I'm still in love with Left 4 Dead 2. There are so many weapons to use. Melee weapons are just uber and overpowered, but I love them. Hard Rain has to be my favorite campaign, simply because of the experience you get your first playthrough. Versus mode is really fun with the spitter and the charger. It's just a great feeling you get from pummeling someone down in the ground or spitting acid at them. It's jazztastic.
Modern Warfare 2 is also ridiculously fun. The campaign is fun, but it's kinda confusing sometimes. But the ending is just amazing, and the stealth missions were awesome. And that airport mission was just whoa. Multiplayer is also really fun. I feel so much better at the game now. It's also something I'll be playing for a while.
I'm still awaiting my Bioshock 2 and my Black Mesa. BOTH GAMES WERE PUSHED TO NEXT YEAR. THERE IS NO SANTA CLAUSE!!!
Update later. See ya.

Recollecting
The Missing Immigrant Agency has to be one of the best looking videos I've ever made. I say this a lot about my videos when I make them, but this one was a whole new level of professionalism and awesomeness.
One of the more impressive features of the video is its flow. The video seems to flow perfectly. It never really seems to drag on too much without regaining your attention. An example of this is when Kevin puts his feet up on the table. I'm not sure why I wanted to film his feet being propped on the table. My vision was what appeared in the video: a slow motion, dramatic, and unnecessarily unique shot of his feet. This was a break in the conversation, and kept the interrogation from becoming too bland.
The lackie scenes were filmed at the end. We decided, after all the rest of the video was finished, that we couldn't simply forget about our dear lackie friends. We liked the idea of the lackies being somewhat dimwitted and clueless, as well as pervy. Julien, as Spotoloticus, plays the comic relief of the video. In the middle of the video you see him surveying the house for who-knows what reason. It's something different that happens at random, and it's funny. His past with Roger's daughter and his penis reference when he walks in provides comic breaks in an overall tense video.
The parts where the music abruptly stops weren't anything new, but in The MIA, they provided some more awkward and comic relief. The music was centered around Kevin and his lackies, and how he thinks he's dimwitted, yet still finds amusement in their whim. I found their interactions funny.
The decreased saturation and high contrast add to the dark tone of the video. While not the most serious video, the unusual coloring helped the uneasy atmosphere of the video. It added a feeling of mysteriousness and suspense because of the high contrasting dark and light colors. The areas of the house that did have color were very faded, indicating a lifeless environment. It helped with the mood of the video a lot.
The camera blur effects were very neat. With a bit of zoom and some altered focus, the amount of blur that appears behind the subject increases. I enjoyed the way my camera handled this effect, and it definitely turned out very nicely.
I found some more awesome actors. Julien and Kevin will be starring in the next video of ours, as well as my good friend Kristin. They are all very good actors with a lot of talent. Be prepared to see these three more often. We will be filming the next video soon, so stay tuned for more details!
I hope you liked the Missing Immigrant Agency. I myself am very proud of it. It is my second favorite work, behind BREAKING POINT and ahead of UNDERFIRE. Hopefully the next video will live up to it. :)

The Missing Immigrant Agency

The Missing Immigrant Agency
The video is up! Lieutenant Octave and his lackies, Spotoloticus and Evels, go to Julien Lee's house to search for a foreigner.
I admit we look kinda stupid, but hey, in my opinion, it is good. I guess if you don't understand our humor too much it doesn't make as much sense, but hey, tough.
Enjoy!

Done, But Not Yet
The video is done.
Why aren't I posting it yet?
I'm too lazy.
It shall be reviewed by Roger and Ryan before I post. Also, I want to make a movie poster for it.
Here's some more screenshots. Not much to see though. Most of the video is the same stuff.
However, I find that it's very interesting to watch. It has a sort of edginess that's achieved by the new video filters, the music, and the silence during the talking portions. When it gets too tense, bam, some comedy relief. It looks great.

Notice the difference in color and contrast in these screenshots. This is how the entire video is like.
It creates a large and beautiful contrast between bright and dark. It looks really cool for this type of video.
I will start working on that movie poster. Until then, I shall not keep you waiting long!

Progress Flows Quickly
I have finished a lot of the video over the weekend. I worked for probably about 9 hours in total this past long Halloween weekend, and I don't regret it. I ended up doing so much on it that the video is almost done.
Audio editing has to be the most boring thing I've done so far in filmmaking. Nothing is more monotonous than staring at purple and orange and yellow waves that seem to represent sound. Nothing is more monotonous, except waiting in line at the DMV.
The music is in. It fits very well with the scenes. I'm quite happy with it.
The video flows well. It has no noticable bumps or cusps in its general direction. It looks good.
Here are some screenshots, just for you!

I started fiddling with the contrast and the saturation to make it have a more lifeless feel to it. Tell me what you think of it:

New Video?!
That's right, folks, there's a new video coming out, and I'm giving you an inside scoop to what's going on as you read! It's HARDCORE!
Just kidding. Right now it's pretty monotonous for most of you. But here's what's going on:
My friends and I filmed a video a week or so back. As editor, for a while I've been pretty lazy. I've been lolly gagging and slacking off sorta, but I've gotten quite a good deal done recently. My main goals were to get good angles and to get good sound and acting. The angles were good. The audio is also pretty good.
The majority of the editing is directed toward fixing up the sound. Though my new microphone is pretty impressive, it still picks up background noises. So, my goal is to clean up most of this background noise. Here's what the original sound clip looks like:

Sound editing sucks. You see this, and you think "Wow. What the hell is this." It's basically what the sound in the video clips look like. See all the intermediate fuzz in the top half of the timeline, the light purplish noise? See the same fuzz in between the main sound? This is the background noise. My goal is to eliminate most of this intermediate fuzz. After the makeover, the clip will look like this:

There's a big improvement there. You'd hear a big difference in sound quality if you heard the before and after clips. But right now I'm too lazy to upload the sound files. I'm sorry, but you should be able to hear it once the video is done. :)
Here's what the main timeline looks like:

Fun stuff. I have about half the video imported, as well as all the clips so far sound edited. Progress is good.
We got a new actor, and he's white. We also got a half Mexican half Filpino guy too. We also have Henry, Roger, and a brief cameo of me. It looks quite promising so far. I shall keep you all updated with it!

Julius Caesar vs. Socrates
Julius Caesar vs. Socrates
A history project my friends Jack, Kyle and me did. The prompt was Celebrity Deathmatch: Pit a Greek and a Roman against each other. This was the result.
Everything you see there, the animations and everything, was created in Adobe After Effects. It took me 11+ hours to complete the animations. I was up till past 4 that night! The sprites were custom made by Kyle, and Jack put together the dialogue boxes and the scenes.
Lots of tedious work here. Took forever just to animate the way the words are revealed in the dialogue boxes. The TYRANNY attack took a long time especially. I had to animate every single one of those rectangles that signify DEF DOWN. Same with the knives.
Watch it, and I hope you think it's good!
I shall edit this when I find out my grade on it.

School
This past Tuesday, school resumed once again. My impressions?
Some of my teachers are okay. My French teacher is the same as last year, and she's okay. My math teacher is borderline crazy. She yells at the P.A. system during announcements. I don't raelly think that's normal. My science teacher is pretty neat (I said neat Kristin). He's kinda old, but he's cool. He also has springs (I mean springs) in his work shoes. They give his heels cushion. I want those shoes.
My English teacher sucks. Badly. She's young. She has that high-pitched nasaly voice, so it can be kinda annoying. She walks around with her hand in a chicken-wing-type manner. It looks really really forced for some reason. She also smiles all the time, but it's not the friendly type of smile. It's the kinda fake big smile that just screams at you, "I'm stabbing you guys in my mind." Hate her, and hate her class.
History is fun, but it's a bit of a joke. We seriously don't do anything in that class. We were told to spend the entire period just thinking of a list. I did in about 15 minutes, and I just talked the rest of the time. I like history this year.
First week impressions? I wish it were still summer. School just isn't the same as last year. I miss my English, Math and Biology teachers. I have no classes with my close friends. I just wish I didn't have to go to school so soon. It's just not the right time for me. I want to sleep more.
I'll update my blog later. I've been wanting to film something with my friends for a while, but I can't think of a good script to write. I'll get something done eventually.

Video Production Improvements
BREAKING POINT has been a serious step forward in my video production skills. Overall, the video doesn't look like it was filmed by a 15 year old and a 12 year old. It looks, in some parts, like a professional video (I might be a bit biased but whatever).
A lot of the angles in the video were inspired by Slumdog Millionaire. That movie had so many amazing angles and action shots, that I just had to implement some of them. The frame was sometimes not level with the ground, but that adds to the edginess of the shot. Also, a lot of zoomed closeups were used, and it created a better sense of suspense. Overall, the zooming and crooked frame effects definitely worked toward a better video.
Editing was different this time around. Unlike UNDERFIRE Deathmatch, I added the muzzle flashes before I placed them into the timeline. This gave me a better sense of what I was working with, and ultimately gave me more control over where the sounds go and how fast I was supposedly shooting.
I finally figured out a shortcut to color correcting a billion scenes at once also. Saved me an hour of work :D
The muzzle flashes from my "assault rifle" were custom made in Photoshop. I created these after I completed UNDERFIRE Deathmatch because I was unhappy with how the flashes looked in the end. They were about the best I could do manually, but I think they looked pretty decent. Ryan's rifle flashes were from the internet. I gave him different ones to make more of a contrast between the 2 different shots, but you probably didn't realize it :D
Workflow was definitely slow on this particular video because of all the file rendering I had to do. But, on the contrary, I did learn many things about HD video. HD is definitely nice, and makes the videos look very clean, but to go through all that work isn't quite worth it in my opinion. I'm not a professional, so I don't have all the equipment or the right computer. Standard definition would work just as well with me.
BREAKING POINT was a big learning video, and definitely helped me step up my video production skills. Hopefully my next video will implement these new skills. I'll have to show my friends first though.

BREAKING POINT
The video is done, yay, finally.
Nothing much to say. 12 minutes long, over 30 hours of combined work I believe?
Not gonna be on Youtube yet. I'm debating whether or not I should put it on.

If you want to watch it, tell me and I'll give you a copy :)
I bet you like that shirt I'm wearing huh? I also bet you're jealous ;D
Portal for the win!

Editing HD SUCKS
HD has been an enormous headache for me. There are so many problems I've been having with HD that I really don't want to film with it again any time soon.
Let me tell you what's up.
First off, in my last post, I explained how I had to convert the files into .avi files. Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 does NOT support AVCHD, so screw HD HDD cameras. Each conversion takes a few minutes, and I have a LOT of clips, so it can take up to a fucking hour sometimes.
Next, HD is so big that my computer, no matter how awesome, lags when I play the footage. IT LAGS. That pissed me off from the get-go. My computer should SO be able to handle that kind of stuff. But I guess not huh??
Then, this comes up. After compiling the 3rd scene together, Premiere Pro starts crashing every time I do something to a clip. This worries me, and pisses me off at the same time. After a bunch of thinking, I realized that the HD footage, 5 minutes of it on the timeline, TAKES UP ALL MY COMPUTER'S RAM. WHAT THE FUCK.
So this is what I have to do for every fucking scene: I have to split each scene up in its own project (that sucks because this video has turned into like 6 different project files). Then, I have to CONVERT the files AGAIN to MPEG-2 so it's smaller size without reducing too much quality. Each scene takes about 30-40 minutes to compress. I have to do this for every fucking scene.
COULD THIS GET ANY MORE FRUSTRATING?!
Thankfully though, once you DO compress and compile it all, it works just fine. Today I finished the first 3 scenes, with music and everything. I don't really want to start the 4th scene yet, but I guess I'm going to have to.
But, so far, the video looks phenomenal. It flows extremely well, the music fits perfectly, and it just looks great. I'm very happy with how it's been going.
I'll post a few more screenshots, just for you people :)

The framing in the last picture isn't great, but remember, we're filming most of this video ourselves. Whether or not it's framed right, you can see what's going on.
Well, I haven't told you guys the name of the video, but I think you can figure it out if you're good ;)
Post later :D

Summer Video
The past 2 weeks I have been hard at work with another video of mine.
I'm not going to release much information about the storyline or anything, but I will say that this video should prove to be my best. With the scenes we do have, we've used some extremely effective angles to capture our shots. I'm very happy with how it's turning out so far.
Filming is somewhat slow though because we have been busy, the weather has not been pleasant, and it's just a lot of work to walk from set to set. Also, importing AVCHD film data has not been easy. Adobe CS3 does not support AVCHD, so I had to buy another piece of software just to import the files. Video production is hard work, folks. It can take over an hour to shoot just one scene, getting all the angles and scripted sequences right.
But this film so far is a pretty good video. I'm proud so far.
We're back to using NERF guns as props again, but in a less Call of Duty-esque fashion. More, they're used as real weapons, however, it's roughly as real as NERF guns can get. I'll start adding the muzzle flashes eventually.
Here are some screenshots. They don't show a whole lot, but I don't really care.

I may potentially add some filters to these shots eventually, but for now I'm worried about the flow of the video. I'll add effects later.
I also have not settled on a title yet. Yeah, I brought together a video idea, but I have no name for it. Yeahh.
Anyway, update later people.

50 Posts + 1
I just noticed that I've accomplished 50 official blog posts. Whoopiee!!
It's not a big deal but I'd say it's pretty good considering I'm a lazy son-of-a-bitch. I figured I'd just say that because well, why not? It's my blog.
Anyway still nothing happening.

Getting Lazier
I know I haven't posted in a while. Saying that I have nothing to post about is just a lame excuse that is half-correct regardless.
What it all comes down to is laziness. I haven't had much inspiration to post about anything lately. Wait, no, that's another excuse that is somewhat true. I'm just too lazy to write about anything. I don't have the patience to put a lot of effort in this anymore. I should be better at this, because it strengthens discipline.
But I never have anything to write about. Actually, I do, but those things are private and I don't have to share them with you people do I?
I'm leaving for Toronto in a week. It's kinda sad because I wanted to go out with my friends more. But some were in school, some couldn't make it, and some I just didn't feel like hanging out with.
And it all comes down to laziness.
I wanted to go to the beach, but so much to organize! Not for me. I want to go out with my friends, but where to go? What to do? How to keep them and me busy? Yeah I'm not good at this stuff. I'm indecisive and I don't follow through on a lot of things.
I did get them over one day though. We played Monopoly for a few hours... Then I saw Transformers 2 with my other friend. Terrible movie... Megan Fox isn't that hot. She's a bitch.
Hopefully I can go out with my friends at least one more time this week. If not, then I'm gonna be pretty sad....
Well I'll post later...

SCHOOL'S OUT [almost]
JESUS H. CHRIST, GOD DAMMIT, OH GREAT CHUCK NORRIS, SCHOOL GETS OUT THIS FRIDAY.
LET IT BE FUCKING OVER ALREADY. LET THE SUMMER BEGIN, LET THE SUN SHINE HIGH, LET THE BEACHES SUNBURN OUR SKIN, LET THE SUMMER AIR FILL THE SKY.
God, I'm so eager to get out of school that I made the above sentence rhyme. WHEN DO I DO THAT?! I HATE ENGLISH.
We have 4 more days till the last day of school. One more full day, then 3 days of finals. I miss the old days when the last 2 weeks of school were just playing around and doing nothing. Now, 2 days before finals, I'm learning about more trigonometry. I'm sorry, Mr. G, but trigonometry is really pointless and boring.
I had to write an essay today, and I really sucked at it. But whatever. I hate response to literature essays anyway. I'm pretty sure I'll maintain my astounding A- anyway.
Geography still is not even considered a class to me.
Science is all about sex-ed and STDs. I swear, they're just asking us to never ever have sex in our lives. They've already scared half of the freshman population with this crap. But not me. I'm strong. And slightly horny. JUST KIDDING.
I'm not that perverted.... I don't know what you're thinking.
French is whatever.
Not much to say. I haven't updated in a while because nothing's happening. I have a boring life, remember?
Update later :D

Coke and Expo Markers
Coke and Expo Markers, finally released to Youtube after about a month of slacking off.
It turned out pretty good, although there were some notable mistakes in it. Ryan and Roger looked at the camera a few times. My acting wasn't very good. Some of the camera angles were off. And the ending was weak. But all in all, I think it turned out okay. We definitely learned from this one.
Check it out!

Long Weekend
It's Memorial Day weekend. 3 day weekend.
This means that I'll be doing nothing 2 of the days and cramming homework in the last day. Yeah that sounds about right.
Video is about finished. I've lost a lot of my enthusiasm with this video, possibly just because I've seen it quite a few million times. I don't know. I MUST GET IT DONE THOUGH.
All this video tells you is that I had really dry skin for a while. I have very patchy skin. It's really stupid looking. And Ryan and Roger like to look at the camera.
I feel so fat sitting in front of the computer all day doing nothing. But I get quite a bit of enjoyment sitting here. I have friends, games, the internets, and more games. I tend to stay on just because I like to talk to friends. I stayed up till 2 last night talking to my friend yesterday. I appreciate friendship y'know.
I really have nothing to say. I have to learn to keep these posts shorter because otherwise no one will read them. Sooooooo later people.

My Lazy Ass
It's been about 2 weeks since I last posted. It's not that I haven't had anything to say. It's just that I'm lazy.
So.
I had swimming finals. Sum it up in a few sentences: I made it past prelims at 8th in my 100 backstroke. I was really happy. But at finals, I was totally raped, getting last place. Oh well, it was a thrill, so to speak?
The video has been going very slowly. I didn't edit it at all last week because I was being lazy as hell. I figure it should be done now, so I've made my deadline by Friday. I hope it doesn't disappoint too much.
I'm probably gonna film an experimental flick with another one of my friends. No script or anything. Just some experimental stuff I wanna try, for experience. I don't know who, or when, but soon.
That's all that's been happening lately.
OH WAIT. I WENT PAINTBALLING.
I went paintballing with Kristin, Roger, Julien, Eric, and a few other friends. It was absolutely amazing. It was like a more realistic video game, but not as deadly as real war. It was a great experience. I'd do it again, eagerly, anytime, anywhere.
Yeah not much else has happened. I'll have the video up soon enough. Bye bye.

Nothing's Good
I haven't posted in a while because I've had nothing to post about.
Life is life. School is school. The past week has just been a week. I know you don't want to read about my boring life, so I didn't post anything.
Tomorrow I'm filming a video with Roger, Ryan, and Jerry. Henry couldn't come for some reason. It should be quite funny. I'm hoping at least.
My focus this time is to achieve a professional-looking video. Good angles, good acting, good editing, nothing out of place, with fitting music. I don't want it to look so much of an amateurish video. I want solid everything, nothing lacking at all. It'll be an easy edit, so it shouldn't be long for it to come out.
I've decided to just stop editing UNDERFIRE 3. The footage is mediocre, and I don't really want to edit for weeks again. I'm not really up to it. Although don't expect it to be the last time you see us with NERF guns.
That's all for now. Bye.

Snipers Rule
I made another Photoshop picture. I was taking photos with my brother, and I found a picture I liked, so I decided to give it a bit of flare. This is what I started with:

This is what came out:

I am really proud of this one. It actually looks kinda professional. I cut myself out, outlined the body, made a background and then gave me a shadow. Very simple, but I think it looks pretty good.
I'll keep this a short post because a friend of mine (Julien) says I post too long. I can sorta understand where he's coming from, but recall, this is my blog, and this is for me.
But I can still at least try to appeal to the few readers I have. I love you guys.
It's kinda late, and I'm sorta sleepy. I'll say good night here. Night.

Hanamatsuri: Day 1
Yesterday I went to the Hanamatsuri for the first day this year. The Hanamatsuri is the Flower Festival in Japan, and they have demonstrations that are about Japanese culture and stuff. The have stuff like Kendo and Aikido and Karate. My karate dojo has been performing there for decades (not even kidding about the decades part). I'm a part of the show!
Usually it's really really fun. All my friends come and we hang out before and after the show. We always go lose some money in gambling games. We're always together in the demonstration too. But this year, not many of my friends actually showed up. I'd say about 3 of them actually came, out of many more. I was, honestly, deeply disappointed, because I was really excited to see them. But I did have some friends there, so it wasn't a total loss.
I brought my camera because Kristin sorta inspired me to take more pictures of stuff. I wanted to take photos of my friends, but there wasn't much to take photos of. We were just sorta talking and doing nothing. I let my friend take some pictures because she seemed more into it than I was. I thought she was doing a good job, until I actually saw the photos. ALL of them were blurry. A few of them that I took weren't blurry or weren't as blurry, but all of her's were blurry. I was deeply upset by this because she took all the pictures of my friends and me. My goal was to get one good photo with me in it, and all of them were crappy. I deleted most of my pictures yesterday. I didn't wanna see them anymore.
That was very disappointing for me. I saw them at the end of the day and I went to bed upset. But anyways, the point of the day was the demonstration. The demonstration had a lot of new juniors in it. Some of them were good I think, but some of them were just downright terrible. During the basic drills for the show, the boy in front of me was just guessing about his steps and acted like he was just training and not as it was a show. That really ticked me off, because I really like to have this demonstration a good one. I wouldn't want to see some short kid messing up with his techniques. I'd want to see some good people.
Most of my parts were okay. I did basics, sparring, weapons and sword. Basics were as stated above. They weren't anything special. I just did them. Sparring was okay also. I had a good partner, so I felt okay with it. Now for the weapons, there's a little bit of back story as to how I landed this part:
It was originally assigned to a black belt woman. She was sitting next to me when we were deciding roles in the demo. She was sorta making faces about how she hadn't done the weapon in years. I told her I knew how to do it, but that I had to do sword right after, so I couldn't do it. She must have been really desperate, because she offered to pay me to take her place. I said I'd think about it, and we all went downstairs to get ready. As we were about to go on, she goes and tells my sempai about it, and my sempai asks if I could do it. I said I could try, but I'd have to go on with my sword outfit. He said I could do it and I took the part. The black belt woman then nudged me and told me that she'd have $5 waiting for me after the show. I found this very funny.
I did the part, but I think I sucked at it. It's honestly hard to lift your legs up when you have a dress/very long and baggy pants on. But I'm guessing it wasn't the worst. I'm hoping it wasn't the worst. I haven't picked up those weapons in forever.
Then the sword demonstration. I was in the back. It was okay, nothing special I don't think. We were really tight on space, so I wasn't able to complete one of my cuts because we were too close. But that's all that really happened.
Bow, close curtain, run out to change, food time. I had two sno-cones. How filling.
Well that was my day. I think the second day is usually better overall, but that's me trying to be optimistic. I still have yet to get a good picture with me in it. I'm hoping today I'll get that picture, and the demonstration will be a better show. Wooo!!! HANAMATSURI
Haz a goodz weekendz peoplez!

Another Suckish Week
Well this week sucked. It was just the first week since spring break, so it's not really a surprise for me. But it sucked more than I hoped.
School in general sucks. The first part that probably got me down was Wednesday's swim meet. I didn't feel anything at the time, but I wasn't feeling totally into it. I didn't get any fast times, it was cold, the pool and the school sucked, and I just didn't wanna be there. I hate away meets. I hate meets in general.
Friday sucked bad. We had a swim meet today. Meets usually start around 3:15ish. But today was a minimum day at the school, so everyone got out at 12:05. I was out at 12:05 too, getting ready to go to lunch. I was prepared to go to lunch with my friend. But the other sports didn't let everyone out at 12:05. Track didn't get back till almost 2, which was when I had to be back to warm-up. When they got back I was sorta upset that we didn't have enough time to go and eat a full lunch. I had 20 minutes to walk somewhere, get something to eat and then come back. Impossible. So instead we walked to a Juice It Up. Not bad I guess, but I wish the track people had come back earlier so I could have eaten something ><
The swim meet was dull. Nothing to add to it, but I did drop a few seconds off of my 100 Butterfly. As I'm walking back to my friends, I see my brother. My mom and brother came to see me. I, being the stupid one, don't go to say hi to her. So I just go straight to my friends. I'm sitting with my friends, and then my mom walks by. I say hi, and she gives me a look that just signals that she's pissed at me. It wasn't until then that I realized what I had done. I hate it when my mom is mad at me, but I hate it more when I KNOW I did something wrong. I get so stressed and guilty. That was on my mind for a while afterward. When I get stressed, I get sleepy. I started getting really sleepy. I'm still sleepy, but I have to stay awake because I want to talk to her about it and apologize.
There were a few other things that upset me a bit, but the point is that it was a crappy week. Why am I such a chicken...
The weekend will cheer me up for sure. Post later, when I'm happier.
Bye.

IT'S A TRAP
So today was the last day of spring break. Woohoo... Well how did it go?
Well, it was awesome! In the morning, I went to swimming. Instead of doing normal swim practice, we decided to do a triathlon workout: swim a mile, run 2.5 miles and do 100 push-ups. This workout was the best, because I finished in less than an hour. I was outta there in no time! Enough time to go change to get ready for...
LUNCH WITH FRIENDS. I met up with Kristin and Roger at the theaters, and then we went to In-N-Out. Then we called up our friend Julien, and we all went to my house to play some Rock Band!! We spent a good 5 hours in total just hanging out. It was pretty awesome. Great last day in my opinion.
So the big question: Was spring break worth it?
Well let's take a look at this. I spent probably a good 15-20 hours playing video games. I saw my friends a few times this week. I filmed a video. I finished homework. I talked to friends. I did a lot of stuff. I think spring break was pretty good this year. I would have like to see my friends a little bit more, but I'm satisfied with what I got. I slept, I relaxed, I chilled. Exactly what you're supposed to do when you're not at school. I give this spring break an 9 out of 10, which means it's an A-. A-'s are good to me!
I hope everyone had a good spring break. Like most of you, I do not want to go back to school. I'm already ready for summer. But, what can you do? Just about 2 more months left. I think we can survive, with a little effort maybe, but together, we will prevail!
Aww waking up at 6 is no fun! Oh woe is me... jk. FUCK, NOT ENGLISH. Ughhhhh I'm soo not ready for tomorrow.
See most of you tomorrow!

Spring Break?! WHAT?!
HOLY CRUDSICLE, TOMORROW'S THE LAST DAY OF SPRING BREAK. WHERE DID THE WEEK GO?!?!
It went into playing hours upon hours of video games. I've been staying up late playing video games with friends. A few nights ago I stayed up till past 2 a.m. playing Team Fortress 2 with my friends Julien and Kristin. Unproductive, but fun. I've been playing Nazi Zombies for hours with my friend Eric. I played Left 4 Dead with all 3 of them yesterday for at least 4 hours. We died a billion times because we kept shooting each other.
And then OH MY GOD TOMORROW'S MONDAY SO THAT MEANS THE NEXT DAY'S TUESDAY, OH MY FREAKING GOD, WHAT THE FUCK, HOW DID IT GO BY SO FAST?!?!
Because I didn't do anything. Does that even make sense? I don't know. But I did do a few things that kept me busy, like video games. I filmed a video, I hung out with a friend, I edited a bit, and I did homework!! Holy crapola!! But otherwise I wasted time playing video games. It was actually quite social. We used headsets (except Kristin, who needs to get one!) and we talked, and it was great to hear their voices. I do miss my friends, but I would like to see them somewhere other than school every day. That'd be great. We need to go to the beach altogether during summer. Throw a party or something. The beach is great. Friends are great.
FUCK, IT'S 10 ALREADY. THAT MEANS 2 HOURS TILL MONDAY, AND 26 HOURS TILL TUESDAY. FUCK MY LIFE, SPRING BREAK IS TOO SHORT, OH WOE IS ME!! I HATE SCHOOL, I WANT SUMMER, AND I WANNA GO TO THE BEACH NOW!! ROARRRRRRR!!!!
So tomorrow I'm going to lunch with my friends. That'll be fun. I'll tell you how my last day of spring break goes tomorrow. Peace out my peacedus, enjoy your break!!
ROARRRRRRR bye :D

Kilroy Was Here
The week is almost over. It's unfair how short spring break felt. A week simply isn't enough. I can't wait till summer now.
It's not that I hate school. Actually, I hate every single aspect of it except for seeing friends. I'd much rather do something else with my time. I like to have freedom, no homework, no projects, and all that good stuff. I can tolerate it for a while, but I'm at the point where enough is enough.
School starts back up Tuesday, and it's almost Friday already. Could I have done anything more than what I did do? Probably. But so far it's been very relaxing, very chill, I've seen a few friends, and it's been pretty good. I went swimming once so far, I started reading a book, I met up with friends, and I'm hoping to achieve more in the next few precious days of freedom. I still haven't started any homework.
Anyway, today we filmed the preliminary UNDERFIRE 3. I haven't looked at the footage yet, and I'm not going to probably till tomorrow or so. Again, I'm going to take this very slowly, editing bit by bit, redoing scenes maybe, just going to piece this film together. I want it to be a good film because I felt let down after what the last video ended up being like. I was honestly disappointed with how it ended up. I didn't feel like it was as good as it should have been. But people learn from their mistakes, and I hope I learned enough. I got some really nice angles too, so I'm eager to see those at least. Not so much of the editing.
I got a Day of Defeat achievement today. 8 kills from a single deployed machine gun in the same spot without moving, i.e. 8 kills from a mounted machine gun, and you can't move your position. I totally got everyone by surprise, and I even shot someone through the trees. But then someone came and shot me in the back. Cheap pricks. I got my achievement though, so I R happy. By the way, the title of this post is the name of the achievement.
I stopped playing Rainbow Six Vegas in hopes that I will finish it slower this way, but I know eventually it will get finished. I don't know what's wrong with me.
I bought fountain pens. I'm not sure why. I've always liked how fountain pens looked when they were used, so I decided to get some. I still haven't used the pens yet. I'm afraid to bring them to school because I consider them very nice. I had my awesome Boxy eraser lost because I forgot it in science. I was very sad, because I've had that eraser for 3 years, and it's such a good one too. So I shall not bring such valuables to school any more. School can go suck it.
Half-Life 2 still amazes me. I got to the Sandtraps level, the one right before Nova Prospekt. It's scary as hell. I hate jumping over sand with the risk of an antlion attack. I want my pheropods. I'm almost there though, just gotta get past one more thumper and a guardian, and they're mine!! ALL MINE!! I love harnessing the power of antlions. They are the absolute best weapon ever. Too bad you have to leave them eventually.
I friggin' love shotguns. The shotgun in HL2 is great in almost any situation. What kind of SPAS-12 can shoot 2 bullets at once?! NONE, EXCEPT IN THIS GAME. I'm getting wayy outta line now. I'm talking about shotguns. I'd better stop myself while I'm still close to ahead.
Night people. Enjoy your last few days of spring break.

Plans for the Week
It's spring break, and, for the most part, I'm gonna kick back and enjoy the sweet life of no school.
But I'm planning something on Thursday. Thursday, we're filming UNDERFIRE 3.
I know it's kinda weird making a sequel right after the previous video, but I'm gonna approach this one a bit differently. I'm not gonna edit this video very fast, I'm gonna see if we need to redo scenes for once, I'm gonna make sure everything looks the best before I get into the deep deep editing. I've got most of it thought out, but the longer we wait, the more I'm gonna forget, and the worse the video is going to be, I think. We'll redo the scenes we don't think are very good anyway, so it should be cool.
Otherwise I'm just doing nothing and stuff. Playing video games for hours and talking to friends for hours. Oh, and also wasting time. Spring break is the best.
Let's make it worth it.

The Relay Meet
Relays are races that rely on a team to pull through to first place.
Today was the big city relay meet. We went against 4 other schools in hopes of getting near close to at least 3rd. I was in 3 races.
My first race was the first boy's race, so I went up first. The 4x100 IM relay. All you had to do was swim an IM (Individual Medley) with 3 other people. Well our first guy disqualified us because he did a flip turn, even though it's illegal in IMs. At that point our team knew that we weren't going to win anyway, but we tried really hard still. I dropped 2 seconds off my time!!
Then I had the 6x50 Freestyle relay. I went first. I'm thinking that I did OK, but I could have done better. But it's okay, my teammates ended up going slower. The guy after me totally dropped our team behind the others by a whole half lap. We knew then that we weren't gonna win that one either. We ended up getting 6th out of 10, and I got the 2nd fastest time in my team.
The last relay was the 4x50 Backstroke relay. I went first again! I was the fastest person in my relay again! I'm so proud! Just kidding, seriously I don't care. Well our team did OK, but we got 6th.
It was a cold day. Good thing the water was pretty warm! It was amazing, that pool. It was like the perfect temperature. I could swim in that pool all day, I swear. It was overcast all day, so when I got out of the water, I scrambled for my thick towel.
Ryan, Eric and I went exploring when our events were done because we didn't really want to watch the swimming. We explored the park that was near the school while devouring a huge bag of Doritos. The park, which was once my favorite, was basically a wreck now. The giant slide that was always there was being torn down. The slide was blocked, and the awesome ladder that you climb to get to the top was ripped off and thrown on the ground. I cried inside. And then the main park was just a disaster. There were parts that were torn down, that were just useless, and there was graffiti. I remember there were 2 seesaws, swings, monkey bars, EVERYTHING. And now it's all gone, seriously, things are actually boarded up and stuff. There was even a giant picture of a penis on the wall, saying to always use a condom. 'Twas a terrifying sight.... I'll never look at that place the same again.
So it was a long day, I'm glad it's over, because it wasn't my favorite. Last week was the absolute best, and this week, I just want it to end. One more day before spring break yo!
I'll have to be sure to do everything that's on that list of mine. ;D

What?
Today's April Fool's Day.
Not much fooling happened today. I only saw a few jokes, and they weren't major pranks either. Ryan told Henry he dropped his pocket and Henry fell for it. I cracked up to that one.
Then at swimming, my coach told us that we had to do 4 sets of 6 100's of butterfly. That's over 100 laps of butterfly. It took me a while to realize that it was a joke, and then everyone was laughing. It was funny. I can't believe I sorta fell for it.
That's all that happened today. Pretty uneventful for a Wednesday in my opinion.
Anyway this is a picture of one of the NERF shotguns I bought Saturday:

I was thinking of doing this to it this spring break:

I'm thinking that I really wanna :D It looks just like the Force-A-Nature!! (That's a Team Fortress reference by the way). But it's part my brother's too, so I need his input also. But if he lets me... Does anyone own a hacksaw that I can borrow?
:D

A Lot Happened in 24 Hours
The past 2 days have been pretty eventful. Let's see what happened:
It started Friday at about 3:15 p.m. I had another swim meet! I was swimming the 200 Medley Relay, the 100 Butterfly, and the 200 Freestyle Relay. So my first relay was disqualified. The breaststroker and the butterflier did not touch the wall with 2 hands when they finished, and that's a pretty huge thing I'm guessing.
My next event was the 100 butterfly. This is 4 laps. I can barely do 2 without getting tired. I was originally supposed to do the 100 Breaststroke, but I had some time issues, and that event was too late. So I got this. I must say I was pretty dead by the time the 4 laps were over, my arms were numb, my legs were also numb, and I was heaving air. But in the end, I got 3rd with a 1:12!! I thought that was a pretty good accomplishment considering it was my first time doing it, but that's me being cocky. =P
Then my 200 freestyle relay. We totally owned everyone, got 1st, nuff said. :D
Well that was done. Then I had to go somewhere else. The reason I couldn't do the 100 breast? It was the night of the Sadie Hawkins dance!! I totally had my priorities in order!
I hitched a ride with Henry to go. I had a date that I just could not pass up, and she was female!! Henry will get someone next time I think. He's pretty much a hunk. The dance was at a section of Knott's Berry Farm, so we rode rides too. We met up with some more friends and we hung together for the rest of the night. Everyone was hyper, we were even running sometimes. We rode rides, we ate, we danced, and then some. Let's just say it was a night we won't soon forget.
So I didn't get to sleep till 1 a.m. The next day (today) I had a big Japanese test that I had not studied for. I went in thinking that I'll just wing it, see what happens, y'know? Haha. It turns out that the test overall was incredibly easy. I think I could have even passed it last year. It was that easy. I had to guess with some of them, but the rest was just a cakewalk. I can't believe I almost didn't take it. Well I got out at about 3:00, almost 24 hours since the meet!!
One of the people who was watching over us during the test looked a bit funny, and the 6 people, including me, in the room took notice. I didn't think much of it until after we were all done with the test and we were talked about it. My friend Carl just outright said "Her boobs were like down to her stomach!!" and then the girl behind me said "I know!! IT'S NOT NORMAL!!" So I got a laugh (sorta) out of that... My friend Carl is fun but he's weird sometimes.
And then after I got 2 new "Nerf" guns. They're not really Nerf, but I'll call them that because I want to. They're 2 shotguns: a copy of the one in UNDERFIRE Deathmatch, and another one that's a mix between a shotgun, an M14, and a B.A.R. It's quite the hybrid, but it just arouses me so much that I don't really care.
Well that's about all that's happened in the past 2 days. I'd like to think that it's quite a lot, because usually nothing happens really. So that basically made my week, and my month in general altogether. Much done in just 2 days!
Post later, guys. Byee.

Swim Meet!
Today's swim meet owned!
It was with some school I've never really heard of. My events were:
Then I went for my 50 yard freestyle. This is my event, this is what I train for, this is why I swim, for this event. I'm being dramatic but this is the event that I excel at. Well I swum, I got 2nd by 0.15 seconds, but I got a new personal record!! 25.90 seconds. To me that's pretty damn fast, and I'm pretty proud of myself.
Finally my 200 yard freestyle relay came. I was first this time. I swum an OK time, nothing extraordinary, but we got first!! I was very very happy again, happy that we won, and happy we didn't get disqualified. We owned.
Well overall my school raped the other school. It was a total shoe-in from the beginning my coach said, but I dunno, I think the other school did pretty well. We were raped last week, so I'm sure that team was thinking the same thing at the time. I'm just happy I got 2 firsts and a new personal record. It was a good meet.
And a bunch of my friends from track came to watch. It totally made my day to see so many of my friends coming to see us swim. Ryan and I went over and hung out there in between our events. Kristin came, Roger came for a bit, and a bunch of our other good friends. We talked for a while, we watched the swimming, it was a good time. They left of course before the last event of the day, and it's a good thing they did because it wasn't till about 6. It was still pretty awesome of my friends to come watch our team swim. Kudos to them.
It was a good day. I think finally I'm beginning to enjoy swim season. My mom was right; I'd like it eventually. Well I have another one Friday, so I'll blog about that one too.
Check in later!!

Spring Fever!
Today is the first day of spring!!
This is gonna be a short post because yesterday's was so long, but I'd just like to wish everyone happy first day of spring! This means that we're that much closer to summer!
Well I don't feel like writing much more, but I'm hoping you guys will enjoy spring. I like spring just because it's different, and the bright flowers are awesome. There's no other season where giant sunflowers bloom in Peter's Canyon Park. Last time I saw those I was amazed, and I almost hit them because I was biking and they were on a downhill slope.
Well happy spring people!

What Do I Like?
I'm just gonna skip all the school nonsense because I'm tired of writing the same thing every day. How about I tell some stuff about myself?
I'll tell you about my favorite things and what I like. I can tell already that this is gonna be a long post, but let's try it out:
Okay so let's go!!
My favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It's a romantic-comedy starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. Basically Jim and Kate's characters are dating, but they're unhappy, so Kate decides to erase Jim from her mind. Jim can't handle it afterward, so he decides to erase her from his mind also. But as his mind erases and his memories fade, he begins to realize more and more how much he loved her. I liked this movie because the story is just tragic. To be so unhappy to go to such extreme measures is unbelieveable. But I think the best part about the movie to me is the moral. I won't spoil it for you, and it's not terribly obvious from the beginning, but in the end you'll be able to figure it out. So the movie made me think, it taught me a good lesson, it was funny in some parts, it was a love story (I like love stories), and it was sad. I liked seeing the love slowly unfold for Jim's character, but it was sad that it was being erased from his mind. It's an interesting concept, but I liked it. It was just an awesome movie, and I really recommend it for you. You have to watch it because it's kinda hard to explain exactly what happens, but it's a great movie through and through, for many different people.
Okay, so, my favorite song. This one is kinda tough, because I like a lot of different songs. But I think my favorite song has to be Float On by Modest Mouse. I don't know what the song means, I don't understand some of the lyrics, but I love the tune. It makes me wanna dream; the bouncy tune is just dreamy, very floaty overall, and just makes me happy. The chorus is awesome too. It's kinda mellow, so if you like heavier stuff, then you might not like this song, but if you can listen to indie/rock, then check it out. I really liked it, ever since I found it on Rock Band.
Okay, so let's go for my favorite book. I hate reading honestly, and I really don't have much of a favorite book. But one of the books that I enjoyed was The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Nerdy, yes, but it was funny and it kept me interested. What other book defines the meaning to life as 42? NONE, THAT'S WHAT. It was a cool concept of exploring the universe, I'm totally keen to that kind of sarcastic dry humor, it was just a fun book to read.
Hmm not much else so let's go for my favorite game. My favorite game of all time is Super Paper Mario. I can't even describe how much I love this game. It's an RPG/sidescrolling platformer, but in paper form! There are a lot of things you can do with Paper Mario, like flipping the scenery from 2-D to 3-D with the push of a button. The sidekicks are AWESOME, they come in handy for so many different things, especially Cudge. You can never go wrong with a hammer. The music is just amazing to me, especially for the hub world. It's dreamy, it's catchy, it's kinda dark, and it's appropriate for the setting, all at the same time. I still consider it one of my favorite songs. The best part about the game is the story. It's a love story, so I like it. It's like a Romeo and Juliet kind of thing; two people, a demon and a human who are not allowed to be together because they are different. But they continue seeing each other, and the love continues, until of course the demon's parents get rid of his human girl. He goes on an emotional rampage, and now he's gonna erase the world and create a new one, even though he's just pining for a lost love. Very simple. And now Mario and Co. must stop him. I could play this game over and over and over again, it's that good to me. The worlds are amazing. The many sidequests never cease to entertain me. I love it, I'll always love it, yeahh.
Now let's do my favorite TV show! POKEMON!! Just kidding, I hate that show. I realized recently that my favorite show is Avatar: The Last Airbender. I've been catching parts of it in order, and I've come to absolutely adore the show. It never went off topic, everything fit together, and it had a satisfying ending. Remembering back from the beginning, the world is divided into four nations: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. The Fire Nation then declares war and kills all of the Air Nation. Except of course, the Avatar, an Airbender named Aang. So 100 years later he's found frozen in a block of ice by his soon-to-be-new-friends, Katara and her brother Sokka. Together they go to save the world. What's awesome about this show that's separate from any other is the character development. Aang starts out as a very carefree and stubborn boy. But as his experience and attitudes change, for events and for people, he begins to mature and he becomes more wise and more controlled. He and Katara also have a little thing between them, and they kiss on a few occasions. Hah I liked watching those... I wish I were as smooth as that Aang. Well anyway the story is long, but it's good, and the story finishes with a bang, the world saved, and a long kiss. Lol :D
My favorite subject in school is Math. I like straight answers, I like answers that won't vary much, I like definite things. English is hard for me because there are multiple answers and different meanings for different things, but in math, a number is a number. I like it that way, and I think that's what gets me into it. Calculations I could do without, but at least there's usually only one answer. I hate fractions though...
My favorite food is pasta. Everyone who knows me MUST know this fact. Pasta is my food, and mine only. I love fettucine alfredo, marinara, meatsauce, pesto cream and butter pasta. And nothing goes better with pasta than parmesan cheese. I can't enjoy pasta quite as much without the cheese. I also use so much cheese that the pasta sometimes isn't very visible. Some people think it's gross, half my family can't stand it, but I love pasta like this. I grew up with an Italian babysitter, so you should know where I got my influence from. Pasta is amazing.
Okay, so those are my favorite things. What do I like to do in my spare time? I like to play video games, watch TV, talk to friends, and occasionally make videos on the weekend. Everything else is sorta taken up by school, so there's nothing much more to say than that. I play games sparingly, whenever I'm bored. I watch TV pretty much only in the morning and late at night. I talk to friends all night. I make videos when I want to. I'm a simple guy with simple pleasures.
I also like girls. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
I think that's about enough for now. It's kinda a long post, but it's Friday, what the heck, yay. If you were able to read through all that, congratulations, you know more about me now. Give yourself a pat on the back. I know I'm not the most interesting person, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the most boring either. I hope you learned something from this post because it's taken about 15 minutes to type.
Tell me something about you!! I like learning about my friends and reading their blog posts, so if you write something about yourself, I'll be sure to read it!!
Peace out my comrades!

Make-Up
Today I decided to be productive in school for once.
I started my productivity by making up a common assessment for English. I had to make up a thesis statement for a prompt basically right in front of her. I passed, so woot for that!
Then I had a Geography test to make up. I dunno how I did on that, but I'm pretty sure I didn't do so well, but oh well, I got an A+ on a map test so whoopie!
Then I made it my goal to finish my missing French assignments. I did it during science during notes, and I got credit for the assignments. Yay more credit!
So basically I'm pretty much made up for what I missed when I was sick. I'm pretty sure all of my homework is turned in, and I've made up all the tests and quizzes. I'm a pretty good boy! It only took a whole week!
That was basically my day. Everything else was pretty boring. But it was an okay day overall I guess, if you rule out my friend being sick. I was productive, the day itself went by pretty quickly, I took my swimming photos, and I got clothes! Yes, part of the swim spirit pack had arrived, and the medium sized sweater fit me like pajamas. A medium is basically half of Ryan's size. We were wearing some pretty big jackets. Fun.
Oh hey the week is nearly over. Funny how the week goes by so quickly. I was asleep for half of it I guess though. But I think I'm feeling better, and the days have been going okay...
Although lunch was kinda lonely and stuff today...

DQ: Dairy Queen
Alright so today I had my first official swim meet. The past 2 meets I was sick, so I've been missing out. But now that I'm better, I was able to swim today. Hooray!
Okay so how did I do. Well I had 4 events:
My friggin' first relay got disqualified. My breaststroker jumped in the water and immediately started doing dolphin kicks. If you know swimming, you're allowed to do that in any stroke except breaststroke. So we were DQ'd for that. I told him it was alright and that we still did a good job, and we did, but I guess I was upset about it because we actually could have gotten 3rd or so.
My individual relay, yay, I swam by myself, and I got a 2 second improvement! I was feeling happier about that. I ended up 2nd. The guy who got first beat me by about a second, so I was feeling pretty good about that.
My 50 freestyle, I improved my time by about 0.37 seconds. It's still an improvement and I'm happy about that! I ended up getting 2nd. According to Ryan I touched the wall first, but oh well, it's still pretty good to me.
The 200 freestyle relay. Well we got disqualified, whoopie. Apparently our 3rd swimmer left the starting blocks too early. Again, we could have gotten 2nd if he hadn't done that. But again I told him it was no big deal, and just not to leave early on his next relay. I was trying to be an okay sport but I think we should have won it.
And then I just sat around for a few more hours. Overall the meet took 4 hours. It was only a half good meet to me. I was disqualified for half my events. I think we should have won those relays, and I hope next time we won't get disqualified. I think we have some pretty good potential for it.
Lol :D
Okay so how did I do. Well I had 4 events:
- 200 Medley Relay (4 people each doing 2 laps of a different stroke)
- 100 Individual Medley (4 laps, 1 of each stroke)
- 50 Freestyle (2 laps of freestyle stroke)
- 200 Freestyle Relay (4 people doing 2 laps of freestyle each)

Deep Thought
I've been thinking a lot lately. If you know how I've been, you might think that my thinking phase has had a negative impact on me. In some ways it has, I've sorta lost some of the life I used to boast with my friends. But I've discovered some new things that I've had time to think about. I have figured some things out, I know why some things affected me the way they did, and I just discovered some things about life in general. My mellow slump has not gone totally in vain.
That being said, I hope I recover soon. The problem with being in this state is that I'm not always happy. I like being happy, but sometimes I just can't be happy, especially when I'm thinking. I don't always think about the happiest things, and as a result I'm a dull and lifeless walking body. I think I've brought the impression that I'm becoming depressed, but I'm not. I'm just thinking.
I guess it sorta started when I was sick. Being isolated for so long (5 days) took a toll on me. I've never had this feeling before. I can make it through summer and winter, but not 5 days? I don't know. I missed my friends more than I had ever before, even though I knew I'd be back soon. I don't know why.
But another thing that made me sorta sulky was just I thought my place in my circle of friends had become unmissed. I don't know why I came to this conclusion but I just felt lonely. I felt like I really didn't need to be there and my appearance was just another person returning from a sickness, like they could have done without me. I have no idea why I came to this conclusion, because I know I'm being a selfish son-of-a-bitch thinking such things. I'm such a suck.
I just thought I needed to write something today. I didn't have anything else to write about because today was overall pretty pointless. I'm sorry but the only reason I go to school now is to see my friend(s). Whatever I'll get over it.

Shotguns Don't Need Bayonets
It was a boring day today.
I had Japanese school, which was pointless as usual. I got home and I had some time to do anything, so I played video games. It was retarded. I got really bored of playing Call of Duty World at War because I just play Team Deathmatch.
Well my mission today was just to get some weapon attachments. I got the pump shotgun's bayonet. First thing I think is that shotguns do not need bayonets, in fact it's the last thing the shotgun needs. It's a shotgun so I think it's fine up close without a bayonet. Next thing I got was the Type 99 bayonet. The Type 99 is a machine gun, and I unlocked the bayonet for it. Another worthless attachment. Machine guns don't need bayonets either. I'm never using those attachments, and probably never using those weapons again. I have better alternatives to use (LIEK TEH BAR).
I watched Slumdog Millionaire today. I went in with very high hopes, because I had heard very good things about the movie. I came out feeling a bit empty. I didn't understand some of the things that had happened, the overall message didn't register in my mind at first, and I just felt a bit let down. I thought it would an amazing movie with big things about it, but I didn't find anything that totally wow'd me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, there were parts that I thought were awesome. But I expected me to totally drool over it afterward. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 stars from what I felt.
That was my day. It kinda sucked. I hope tomorrow is better.

Home Again!
I stayed home again today.
Last night at around 1 my mom took my temperature. I had a 102 fever. So she gave me some water, some motrin and another blanket and went back to bed. After a while of lying under the blankets, I began feeling uncomfortably warm. I took off the top blanket. Then, a bit later, I began feeling warm still under my normal blanket. Took that off too. I was sleeping under nothing, hoping maybe this might lower my fever.
My illness has made me very restless. I couldn't find a comfortable position to sleep in. I'd lie in one position, and my legs would feel uncomfortable. I'd try another, then my hands felt uncomfortable. I'd try another, and my back would feel uncomfortable. This went on for about two hours or so, in the middle of the night. I even tried sleeping on my brother's bed. Finally, after a total of three hours of twisting and turning, I fell asleep, at 4 a.m. I woke up at 6:30 hoping maybe I'm well enough to go to school. I get up and I'm cold and really sleepy. Finally I decide I should take one more day off. I wasn't ready to go to school with a possibility of a fever and five hours of sleep.
I watched the Today Show with my mom till about 9. I started to get really sleepy. Finally, I could take it no more, and thus I fell asleep again. The next thing I know, it's 1 o'clock. I caught up on my sleep.
I ate lunch, noodle soup and a yogurt. Then I popped on my computer and began Photoshopping the picture that Henry didn't like. Well I decided to try out something I learned on a website, and apply it to the picture. I changed Henry and William's poses also. This is how it looks:

It's the Bourne Ultimatum effect! I think it looks really neat. Learned some new photoshop techniques, like how to use an adjustment layer. I'm very proud! And I hope Henry likes this better. Next time, however, I'd like to take a group photo instead of taking close-ups from the video. That way it'll look better.
By the way, William generally looks like that the entire video.
Have a good rest of the day people!

Pissed
Soo, I'm pretty pissed off right now. This is going to be a short post, just a general statement about why I'm pissed off.
Soo I'm feeling better today. My mom said I could sleep in for a bit and then she'll drop me off at school late. Well the school basically told us that I should just stay home if I'm "sick" still. I seriously feel fine. I could have gone to school today. I wanted to go to school today. I was denied.
What the hell.
I'm just staying home and playing video games for the time being. My mom is bring back In-N-Out later, so that should be good. I gotta burn another 8 hours doing nothing. Joy.
Again, this is a short post. Basically doing most the things I did yesterday, except I feel better. No need to repeat my actions. Update tomorrow maybe?

I Stayed Home Again
My mom turned off my alarm this morning because I had a fever. I slept till 11 a.m., so I had a long 12 hour sleep. I woke up and the first thing I do is start playing Call of Duty again. Then I had some soup that scalded my mouth so that sorta hurt. And it sucks to try to eat when you can't taste. So I just ate some tasteless fried rice and some tasteless noodle soup. Couldn't finish the soup because I was turned off by my loss of taste. I'm not really sure what I did after that. I think I watched an hour of Law & Order with my mom. Then I took a long warming shower with all the doors closed so it was really warm when I got out. And then I just lied down on the sofa I think and eventually I fell asleep. I woke up about 3 hours later with my mom and my brother out of the house. I'm not sure if I took a motrin pill when I was asleep, so right now I'm totally sober, and I'm not doing too bad.
A lot of people have been getting sick. I'm wondering where I got the damn virus from; I recall getting sick a few days after the long karate tournament I attended. My sensei got sick, a bunch of my karate friends got sick, and now a bunch of my school friends are sick. I hope I didn't bring it to Beckman.
According to Ryan, a few of our friends have been sick. And Ryan, you shouldn't be going to school with a fever, it's not good for your body, and it won't help you get better. Swimming will probably make it worse for you, don't do that to your body.
Why do I have to get sick twice? Why is the second time worse than the first?! It's never the second time that's the hardest, it's always the first. I'm not used to getting sick like this; whenever I get sick, it's usually takes a few days or something like that to get better, and then I'm not sick for a long time after. Well, 1 and a half weeks?! What the hell! I hate being sick, and I'm assuming that everyone hates it (except for those creeps who have illness fetishes). Whatever, I just hope I can go to school tomorrow.
I missed a bit at school today, but I'm not gonna go in detail because it's sorta my business.
Hope I'm well enough to go to school tomorrow. Bye.

Sick AGAIN
Well yesterday morning I went to Japanese school. Half way through the 3-hour class, I began feeling really cold. I got a jacket during recess, but it was still really really cold. Then I felt a bit dizzy. During the next recess I went to my mom's car to warm up. Well, I musta dozed off or something because the next thing I know, my mom's knocking on the window telling me that I'm late for class. Well yes, I looked at the clock, and I was about 20 minutes late for class.
I'll be the first to say that that was FAIL.
I went back to class feeling dizzy still, and I couldn't sit in place for very long. When we were finally released I rushed back to my mom's car, reclined the seat and closed my eyes. My mom asked if I was up to going out to eat, and I said I would be, only if we went to Olive Garden.
And thus we went.
Before we got to Mainplace, I took some children's motrin, even though I'm not really a child anymore (I'M A MAN). We went to get a seat, and by that time I wasn't cold anymore. In fact, I was sweating on the spot. The motrin kicked in just in time for the pasta, and so the lunch was quite enjoyable.
I spent the rest of the day feeling pretty good, almost like I was never sick. But later that night I started to feel pretty shitty again. I went to bed early hoping that this wouldn't persist to the next day.
Well it did I think, or it could be the motrin. I'm really not sure at this point, but I think I was feeling a bit light headed earlier. I showered and I went to my piano exam.
Yeah, the exam could have gone better I think. I'm hoping I didn't totally bomb it, but I could have done better.
Yeah well I got home and I played Call of Duty World at War for a good 2 hours. And thus I am here, making this blog post. Pretty weird weekend so far.
It sucks that I'm sick again. But this time I'm not gonna force myself to swim right away. However, I'm gonna try to swim on Tuesday because we have a meet on Wednesday and Friday. It's been weird lately; everyone's getting sick. I could name 5 people right now that have gotten sick, but you don't want names, do you? You people don't really care that much about my life and who my "friends" are anyway, so why should I type more just for YOU? PSHHH. Whatever people.
Lol.................... jk :D
I think the motrin is gonna wear off soon. It's been quite a few hours now. That's all I really wanted to say, whether or not you really care. This blog is for ME, and ME ONLY. You people just happen to be reading it. :D
Again, jk. I'm pretty drugged...
Well, I'm probably gonna post UNDERFIRE Deathmatch tomorrow on Youtube. I'll give you guys a link.
Peace.

Motion Tracking Sucks and the "Bitch" Scene
There are a few points in the video when certain no-no things show up: 2 license plates and an address. I had to cover these bitches up, but how to do so with a shaky camera?
Motion Tracking.
One would think that finding 2 isolated points in the scene should be no problem. But damn, it has to be the most frustrating thing I've ever done. The points would never stay in place, and they would go totally friki-tiki on me, so eventually I gave up. I did, however, manage to get it on one of the censor scenes and it worked like an angel. But the other times, not so much. So I decided to do the other ones manually. They don't look quite as good but they're okay. I really don't care.
There's this one scene in the video where Henry backs up against a wall and shoots to ward off Ryan around the corner. Then Ryan takes his gun and blindly sprays Henry dead. This was the most annoying scene to film, and also to edit. The filming I did while it was raining, with the camera in one hand, and an umbrella in the other. Took a few tries. Well, to make the muzzle flashes appear behind the gun, I had to basically outline Henry and his gun so that it was a separate cutout so that the flash could appear behind it. Now, I had to do this basically every single frame when he fires and when he's shot. This was a bitch to do because there were quite a lot of frames to edit, over 50 I'm estimating. Then, when Ryan starts shooting, Henry is half covering Ryan's muzzle flash. So I had to make a separate mask (outline) for that. Then, Henry's arm and gun go flying in front of the flash. I did a mask for that also. And then, to top it all off, Henry's foot flies up in front of the muzzle flash. New mask, what joy. Well, I edited this frame by frame, and overall took about four hours to do, just this 19 second sequence. What a bitch, hence the name, the "Bitch" scene.
Dunno if you understand me but oh well.
Well the video is actually done, but I won't post it until Monday because I'm that lazy. It's also my birthday today, AND I did edit, direct, film and act in the damn thing, so I should be able to do whatever the hell I want. So there.
Haha yeah it's my birthday today. I didn't make a huge deal about it at school, and I'm glad I didn't. Only one of my friends knew it was my birthday today. I told a few people and they didn't act too different anyway, so it's all good. Though, today was a good day overall.
That is my post for today. Haven't posted all week because of the video, but since it's done I'm free again. I'm so glad it's done; editing is very tedious and frustrating sometimes. I'm planning on NOT doing a project like this anytime soon, but I will have to EVENTUALLY. It's gotta come sometime....
See yaz on the flip side, yo.

Another Weekend is Over
Another weekend blows by. Let's take a look at just how things went:
Saturday I started off by going to Japanese school. Boring. Then I headed off to my piano theory test. Boring. Lasted an hour and a half. But I got an A on it, so I'm happy about that. The rest of the day I spent at home editing muzzle flashes and playing games. I got bored so I tried Left 4 Dead out with my friend, but our team sucked, so it wasn't too fun. Day of Defeat, however, was fun. I ended my day talking to Kristin and editing muzzle flashes.
Sunday I woke up coughing. I headed downstairs and immediately started editing. Then I thought I'd be somewhat productive for once, and I started my essay. However, that only lasted for about 15 minutes. I headed back to edit. I got a good chunk more done, but I still have many more to go. At around 12 o'clock, I was forced to start being useful around the house. I unloaded the dishwasher, and broke a bowl in the process. Then I went upstairs and washed the bathroom, which, for me, is the toilet, the floor and the sinks. I spent a good hour in that bathroom. Felt good I suppose for helping out. But I wouldn't do it usually.
Then I headed over to my friend's house with Roger and Ryan and we played Mah-Jong together for about 3 hours. Mah-Jong never ceases to entertain me. Good fun, I won twice.
I got home, and then I started working on my essay. Then I got bored and did math. Math took forever. Calculating anuity and half-lives isn't fun. Got back to my essay for a good hour, and I only got 1 paragraph done. Whatever, I'm just not feeling it.
And now I'm here. Pretty boring if I do say so myself. I'm not up to writing a lot, so I won't. Tomorrow I'll edit a bit, do some more essay, and some other things I gotta do. Nothing very special if you ask me.

Muzzle Flashes!
YES, finally I got you good people pictures of the flashes that are gonna be in UNDERFIRE 2. I spent all day working with it (taking a 2 hour break in between to play some games) and then some more working on it, and I think they look pretty good! I got you a couple of snapshots of what I have now.

This is the front view of it. I had it octagonal shaped before, and then I was messing with some effects and I got this "Sharpen Edges" effect, and now it looks like this. Looks pretty fiery. I think it's pretty good.

I know that you can't see all of it, but you get an idea of what it's supposed to look like. As you can see, it's quite large. I had some points poking out of the side before, and then I tried the "Sharpen Edges" effect on it, and I reduced the whole thing to a teardrop shape. I'm debating still whether or not the white is too small, but it's only because Henry's sorta picky. Oh well. I'm getting really excited for this video.
You might not be able to see it, but around each flash is a glow. Another special effect! Yes, it glows! I know, it makes it look more awesome, even though it appears for about 3 frames. Oh yes, I also used keyframed opacity on the flashes. In the previous UNDERFIRE, I simply put the flashes on for 1 frame with no spinning or variation. It looked good at the time, but it needed some life. I have it set now so that when the flash appears, it will fade out quickly in a matter of only a few frames. It makes it look more realistic, and it just looks cool this way. Woot. And, like last time, Gaussian Blur is used on the flashes to make it look "flashier."
Yup, so that's my update on the video, now I gotta do the rest and those really hard ones that I don't want to explain right now.
On a less important note [for you]: My ear is plugged again. But this is just more than a plugged up ear. It SWITCHED EARS. Yeah, my OTHER ear is plugged up now, it's really messed up. And since I took the motrin, I've been losing some feeling in my head and things have started to spin slowly. It's like being drunk, huhuhuhuh.
Yeahh, tomorrow's Sunday, I'll be editing in the morning and I'll be out later in the afternoon. Talk to you later, good people.
