What Do I Like?

I'm just gonna skip all the school nonsense because I'm tired of writing the same thing every day. How about I tell some stuff about myself?

I'll tell you about my favorite things and what I like. I can tell already that this is gonna be a long post, but let's try it out:

Okay so let's go!!

My favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It's a romantic-comedy starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. Basically Jim and Kate's characters are dating, but they're unhappy, so Kate decides to erase Jim from her mind. Jim can't handle it afterward, so he decides to erase her from his mind also. But as his mind erases and his memories fade, he begins to realize more and more how much he loved her. I liked this movie because the story is just tragic. To be so unhappy to go to such extreme measures is unbelieveable. But I think the best part about the movie to me is the moral. I won't spoil it for you, and it's not terribly obvious from the beginning, but in the end you'll be able to figure it out. So the movie made me think, it taught me a good lesson, it was funny in some parts, it was a love story (I like love stories), and it was sad. I liked seeing the love slowly unfold for Jim's character, but it was sad that it was being erased from his mind. It's an interesting concept, but I liked it. It was just an awesome movie, and I really recommend it for you. You have to watch it because it's kinda hard to explain exactly what happens, but it's a great movie through and through, for many different people.

Okay, so, my favorite song. This one is kinda tough, because I like a lot of different songs. But I think my favorite song has to be Float On by Modest Mouse. I don't know what the song means, I don't understand some of the lyrics, but I love the tune. It makes me wanna dream; the bouncy tune is just dreamy, very floaty overall, and just makes me happy. The chorus is awesome too. It's kinda mellow, so if you like heavier stuff, then you might not like this song, but if you can listen to indie/rock, then check it out. I really liked it, ever since I found it on Rock Band.

Okay, so let's go for my favorite book. I hate reading honestly, and I really don't have much of a favorite book. But one of the books that I enjoyed was The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Nerdy, yes, but it was funny and it kept me interested. What other book defines the meaning to life as 42? NONE, THAT'S WHAT. It was a cool concept of exploring the universe, I'm totally keen to that kind of sarcastic dry humor, it was just a fun book to read.

Hmm not much else so let's go for my favorite game. My favorite game of all time is Super Paper Mario. I can't even describe how much I love this game. It's an RPG/sidescrolling platformer, but in paper form! There are a lot of things you can do with Paper Mario, like flipping the scenery from 2-D to 3-D with the push of a button. The sidekicks are AWESOME, they come in handy for so many different things, especially Cudge. You can never go wrong with a hammer. The music is just amazing to me, especially for the hub world. It's dreamy, it's catchy, it's kinda dark, and it's appropriate for the setting, all at the same time. I still consider it one of my favorite songs. The best part about the game is the story. It's a love story, so I like it. It's like a Romeo and Juliet kind of thing; two people, a demon and a human who are not allowed to be together because they are different. But they continue seeing each other, and the love continues, until of course the demon's parents get rid of his human girl. He goes on an emotional rampage, and now he's gonna erase the world and create a new one, even though he's just pining for a lost love. Very simple. And now Mario and Co. must stop him. I could play this game over and over and over again, it's that good to me. The worlds are amazing. The many sidequests never cease to entertain me. I love it, I'll always love it, yeahh.

Now let's do my favorite TV show! POKEMON!! Just kidding, I hate that show. I realized recently that my favorite show is Avatar: The Last Airbender. I've been catching parts of it in order, and I've come to absolutely adore the show. It never went off topic, everything fit together, and it had a satisfying ending. Remembering back from the beginning, the world is divided into four nations: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. The Fire Nation then declares war and kills all of the Air Nation. Except of course, the Avatar, an Airbender named Aang. So 100 years later he's found frozen in a block of ice by his soon-to-be-new-friends, Katara and her brother Sokka. Together they go to save the world. What's awesome about this show that's separate from any other is the character development. Aang starts out as a very carefree and stubborn boy. But as his experience and attitudes change, for events and for people, he begins to mature and he becomes more wise and more controlled. He and Katara also have a little thing between them, and they kiss on a few occasions. Hah I liked watching those... I wish I were as smooth as that Aang. Well anyway the story is long, but it's good, and the story finishes with a bang, the world saved, and a long kiss. Lol :D

My favorite subject in school is Math. I like straight answers, I like answers that won't vary much, I like definite things. English is hard for me because there are multiple answers and different meanings for different things, but in math, a number is a number. I like it that way, and I think that's what gets me into it. Calculations I could do without, but at least there's usually only one answer. I hate fractions though...

My favorite food is pasta. Everyone who knows me MUST know this fact. Pasta is my food, and mine only. I love fettucine alfredo, marinara, meatsauce, pesto cream and butter pasta. And nothing goes better with pasta than parmesan cheese. I can't enjoy pasta quite as much without the cheese. I also use so much cheese that the pasta sometimes isn't very visible. Some people think it's gross, half my family can't stand it, but I love pasta like this. I grew up with an Italian babysitter, so you should know where I got my influence from. Pasta is amazing.

Okay, so those are my favorite things. What do I like to do in my spare time? I like to play video games, watch TV, talk to friends, and occasionally make videos on the weekend. Everything else is sorta taken up by school, so there's nothing much more to say than that. I play games sparingly, whenever I'm bored. I watch TV pretty much only in the morning and late at night. I talk to friends all night. I make videos when I want to. I'm a simple guy with simple pleasures.

I also like girls. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I think that's about enough for now. It's kinda a long post, but it's Friday, what the heck, yay. If you were able to read through all that, congratulations, you know more about me now. Give yourself a pat on the back. I know I'm not the most interesting person, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the most boring either. I hope you learned something from this post because it's taken about 15 minutes to type.

Tell me something about you!! I like learning about my friends and reading their blog posts, so if you write something about yourself, I'll be sure to read it!!

Peace out my comrades!
